Former Fernald Merchant Dies In Denver Hospital
Fernald, Feb, 28--Harry B. Sipling, 64, for several years a resident and hardware merchant in Fernald, died Wednesday in a hospital at Denver, Colo., from the effects of a heart attack.
funeral services will be held at Denver on Saturday and burial will be there.
Mr. Sipling came from Fernald from Dallas Center in 1915 and was engaged in business here for 10 or 12 years. During his residence here he was engaged in business and was also active in the work of the Brethren church of which he was a lifelong member.
He leaves besides his wife, one son, Carl Sipling, of Marshalltown, and six daughters. They are Irma, now Mrs. Dwight Keeney of Missouri Valley; Iva, Mrs. Russell French of Maxwell; Ina, Mrs. Roy Picht of Fernald; Carol, Mrs. Louis Albaugh of Elkhart; Carrie, Mrs. Arthur Kress of Denver, and Miss Esther Sipling of Des Moines.
He also leave his aged father, George Sipling, 84, of Dallas Center, one sister who lives in the state of Washington, and 11 grandchildren.
While living at Fernald he served as a member of the Fernald school board and held other positions of trust in the church and community.
All the children will be with the mother for the funeral and burial rits.
