MRS. A. G. ANDERSON DIED AT HER HOME IN FERGUS FALLS
A Native of Roland, She and Her Family Lived in Story City in the 90's
Mrs. A. G. Anderson, 72, be---ed resident of Fergus Falls, Minn., for some fifty years, wife of the deputy state treasurer, A. G. Anderson, died at her home there Saturday afternoon, March 16. Mrs. Anderson suffered a light stroke before Christmas and had been confined to her bed most of the time since then. Mr. Anderson, who is deputy treasurer, came up from St. Paul Wednesday to be with her.
Martha Theodora Anderson was born at Roland, Iowa, Dec. 21, 1867, the daughter of Marcelius and Ingeborg Maaland Olson, who were among the early pioneer residents of Iowa. She attended school in Roland and grew to womanhood there. Her marriage to Mr. Anderson took place on July 11, 1889 and last summer in July 1939, Mr. and Mrs. Anderson celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.
Mrs. Anderson came to Fergus Falls as a bride and has resided there ever since with the exception of the several years the family lived in Story City in the early 90's. She was a woman of quiet retiring disposition, devoted to her home and church.
Besides her husband Mrs. Anderson is survived by one son, E. Merriam Anderson, and one daughter, Mrs. George W. Knoff. One son died in infancy.
She also leaves to mourn her passing two sisters, Miss Lena Olson, who has made her home with her and Mrs. J. B. A. Dale of Minneapolis, wife of Rev. Dale and one brother E. M. Olson of Fergus Falls. Two granddaughters, Misses Dorothy Mae and Kthryn Knoff, and seven nieces and four nephews also survive.

Funeral service were held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock at the First Baptist Lutheran church in Fergus Falls, Rev. S. L. Tollakson of Fergus Falls and Rev. C. H. Hanson of Alexandra officiating. Presiding the service at the church where small private service at the home on G-------.
