DIED--Mrs. Kari Olson* [also known as Kari Olson Baugste] passed away at the home of her son, O. B. Peterson, at 9:30 o'clock Sunday morning, after an illness of only a few days duration, aged 77 years and two months. Mrs. Olson came to this country with her husband from Norway in 1842, and settled in Benton county. A few years later they moved to Story county and have since lived here. Only one child was born to this union. Mr. Olson died in 1870, since which time Mrs. Olson has made her home with her son. Funeral services were held in the Lutheran church at ten o'clock, Tuesday morning, conducted by Rev. Tanner, after which the remains found sepulcher in the local cemetery. The deceased was a devout Christian lady, and the home that is made sad by her death will long remember her deeds of kindness and words of good cheer.
