MRS. LIZZIE JACOBSON
Mrs. Lizzie Jacobson was born at Lisbon, Ill., in the year 1884, and passed away Nov. 7, 1939 at Ames, Iowa. She came to Iowa with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rasmus Thorson, in 1893. In the year 1903 she was united in marriage to Tom O. Jacobson, who preceded her in death in 1910.
She is survived by two sons, Arvie of Story City, and Reuben of Sac City, seven grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Carrie Henderson of Brooklyn, N. Y., three brothers, Nels Thorson of St. James, Minn., Peter of St. Paul, Minn. and Gerhard of Van Nuys, Calif.
Funeral services for Mrs. Jacobson were held Friday afternoon, from the Arvie Jacobson home at 1:30, and at two o'clock in the Immanuel Lutheran church, Rev. T. T. Heimarck in charge. Vern Hill rendered a solo at the home, and Mrs. Benjamin Anderson and daughter Sara sang a duet at the church. Interment was made in Fairview cemetery. A large sum was contributed to missions in her honor.
