OBITUARIES

MRS. HENRY TOFT

Mrs. Henry Toft died at her home here on November 10, at the age of 65 years, 1 month and 12 days.

Mrs. Henry Toft nee Gertrude Jacobson,, was born in Bergen, Norway, on September 28, 1872, and came to this country in 18--.

On January 26, 1894, she was united in marriage to Henry Toft. To this union 12 children were born, four having preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her death her husband, one daughter and seven sons, namely: John, Henry, George and Gerhard of this place, Iver of Huxley, Thomas and Mrs. Anna Eide of Belmond, and Bernard of Hadley, Minn.; also 21 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Hans Raymond of Luverne, Minn. and Mrs. Elsie Carr of Long Beach, Calif. and three brothers living in Norway.

For forty years she was a faithful member of the Immanuel Lutheran church and ladies aid society.

Mrs. Toft lived on a farm west of Story City a number of years before retiring to Story City 12 years ago. She had been in failing health for several years and the past year and a half she had been helpless, but always a patient sufferer.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 20 from the home and Immanuel church, and interment took place at Fairview cemetery.
