MRS. ROSE REIHL [sic]

Mrs. Rosie Reihl [sic] was born on the Switzer farm south of Story City in 1859. She was a daughter of Solomon and Mary Switzer. She died October 4, 1937, at her home north of Grand Junction at the age of 78 years. She had been in failing health for some time, but had been able to be back in this vicinity three times during the past summer.

Funeral services were held Thursday morning Oct. 7, at the Catholic church at Grand Junction, Father Mellinger in charge. Interment was made at Jamaica beside her husband, who preceded her in death in March, 1918, and a daughter, who died in December, 1935.

She leaves to mourn her death three sons, Joe of Chariton, John of Paton and Frank at home, and two daughters, Mrs. George Hackett of Jefferson and Sister M. Quinton of Chicago, and also 11 grandchildren. She also has three sisters, Mrs. Frank Mesha of near Gilbert, Mrs. Geo. Blink of Nevada and Mrs. Louise Schreiner of Correctionville, and three brothers, August of Boone, Theodore of Texas, and John of Des Moines, besides many other relatives.
