Marlene Clark Bennink, 66, of Roland died of cancer Wednesday at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Salem Lutheran Church in Roland, of which she was a member. Burial will be at Rippey Cemetery in Rippey.
Mrs. Bennink was born in Rippey and had lived in Jamaica, Ia., Marathon, Ankeny and Sheldon before moving to Roland in 1979. She was a retired director of nursing with the Iowa State University Student Health Center and a member of several professional nursing organizations. She enjoyed traveling and reading.
She is survived by her husband, Duane; a son, David of Bremerton, Wash.; two daughters, Karen Ratliff of Cromwell, Okla., and Kathleen Stenson of Williston, N.D.; a brother, Ronald Clark of Atlanta; two sisters, Karen Nicholas of Jamaica and Linda Holmes of Algona; and four grandchildren.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Hastings Funeral Home in Jefferson where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at the church.
