Gilbert Glimpses

Hans Peterson [sic] Died Monday

Hans C. T. Peterson [sic], 79, retired farmer and well known resident of the Gilbert community died at his home early Monday morning. The funeral was held Wednesday, with services at the home at 1:30 and at the Gilbert Lutheran church at 2:00 with his pastor, Rev. T. T. Heimarck in charge. Burial was made in the Lutheran cemetery north of Gilbert.

Hans Christian Theodore Peterson [sic] was born in Denmark, Europe, Nov. 25, 1859, and departed this life at his home in Gilbert April 22, 1935.

He had been a resident of this community for many years, living on a farm between here and Ames. Later he retired and moved into Gilbert, where the family home has since been.

He leaves his wife and five children. The children are Mrs. Andrew Holmes, Mrs. H. P. Hanson [sic] and Henry and Sophus Peterson, all of this community, and Andrew Peterson [sic], who has been away for some time.
