Mrs. Walter Baldus
Mrs. Walter Baldus passed away at 10:45 Thursday morning, Oct. 4, at her home three miles northwest of Oakland, Minn.; following an illness of seven months.
Ida Teresa Leininger, daughter of Susan Heller and Peter Leininger, was born March 12, 1882 near Gilbert, Iowa. She lived near Gilbert until her marriage in Ames. They made their home near Story City until 1927 when they moved to a farm near Oakland, Minn.
To this union was born three daughters, Elizabeth, Inez and Naoma, and six sons, Irwin, Howard who died in infancy, Russell, Arnold, Willard and Orville.
She is survived by her husband, eight children, her mother, Mrs. Susan Leininger, two sisters, Mrs. John Cooper of Ames and Mrs. August Switzer of Gilbert, three brothers, Dan Leininger of Gilbert, Edward Leininger of Ames, Frank Leininger of Oakland, Minn.
Funeral services were held at 9:30 Saturday morning at St. Augustine's church, of which she was a member, the Rt. Rev. J. H. Pescehs officiating. Burial was in St. Augustine's cemetery at Austin, Minn.
