BEULAH BOYD IS BURIED HERE TODAY

Miss Beulah Boyd, 57 years old, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry R. Boyd, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Amos Spring, near Udell, Tuesday, Jan. 30. The body was brot to Story City last evening and was laid to rest on the family lot in Fairview cemetery at 11 o'clock this forenoon. Mr. and Mrs. Spring with the undertaker from Udell, accompanied the remains here. The funeral service was held in Udell. Rev. Fuller officiated at the grave here, and at short service at Henderson's, where some of the old friends of the deceased had assembled.

Obituary

Miss Beulah Boyd, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry R. Boyd, was born at Ames, Iowa, Nov. 25, 1876, and departed to be with Christ at the home of her sister, Mrs. Amos Spring, near Udell, Iowa, Jan. 30th, 1934, age 57 years, 2 months and 5 days.

In her childhood days she attended Sunday school and church services in the Evangelical church, with which church she united at the age of 21. Later she united with the Presbyterian church, of which she remained a faithful member until her decease.

She lived a devout Christian life, being possessed of great faith in God, and a bright hope for heaven. Her God and her Bible were always first, and it was her aim to begin each day with private Bible reading and prayer. Even the suffering much bodily affliction, she remained faithful and loyal to her Lord to the very last.

She leaves to mourn, two sisters, Mrs. W. F. Hanna of Portland, Oregon, Mrs. Amos Spring of Udell, one brother, George D. Boyd of Pierre, S. D., two nieces, six nephews, besides other relatives and many friends.

Funeral service was conducted in the Brethren church at Udell, by the minister, Rev. Alvin L. Moyer, with interment in Fairview cemetery, Story City.
