OBITUARY OF WALTER G. ARCHESKE
Walter G. Archeske was born in Des Moines March 23, 1894, his parents being Mr. and Mrs. Gus. Archeske, and he died at his home northeast of Story City August 5, 1933, at the age of 39 years, 4 months and 12 days.
He was married October 22, 1924 to Marie Wade of Collins. To this union three sons were born, namely Raymond 6, Donald 4, and Ralph 2. For a number of years he was engaged as a druggist in Des Moines. Believing that a change to outdoor work would benefit his health, he moved Nov. 1, 1931, to the Wierson farm, northeast of town, which he had purchased. He is survived by his wife and three sons, his father and mother, and two sisters, Mrs. Clara Oehlson of this place and Mrs. Henry Oehlson of State Center.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, August 8, in the St. Petri church, with Rev. Carl Gauschow of Des Moines officiating in the absence of the local pastor. The pall bearers were: Oscar Vangness, Jeffrey Carpenter, Arnold, and Gerhard Erickson, H. K. Henderson and Arthur Thorsbakken. Interment was made in Fairview cemetery.

Puckhaber of Boone; Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Gunder and family, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Stuart and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Tripp of Ames; Mrs. LaVina Vincent and daughter and Ray Mills of Maxwell; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Nowning and Mrs. Gunderson and Joyce of Slater; Mrs. Steven Inman, Mrs. Nettie Kimberly, Mrs. W. M. Cook and Iva and Ada Swalwell of Collins.
