MRS. ANNA TRAVASE DIED IN DES MOINES

Pioneer Story City Lady Attained High Age of 85 Years

Mrs. Anna Travase died at the home of her son Jonas in Des Moines last Sunday. For eighteen years she lived in Story City coming here with her husband about 42 years ago. She was 85 years old at the time of her death and had been in good health up to about three years ago when she began to fail.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Central Lutheran church in Des Moines, Rev. H. E. Rasmussen officiating. Interment was made in the Story City cemetery.

Mrs. Travase came to America from Norway when she was 16 years old. She is survived by two sons, Jonas and Arnie Travase, the latter of Story City, and four daughters, Mrs. Andrew Carlson, Scandia, Minn.; Mrs. Clara Erickson, Story City; Mrs. L. Malmanger, Des Moines, and Mrs. Bessie Stowell, Sandstone, Minn.

The surviving children express their thanks for the many kindnesses shown their mother in her last years and for sympathy manifested at the time of her death and burial.
