Death of Mrs. Holland-Hoveland [sic]
Ragnild Holland-Hoveland [sic] died Dec. 28, 1922, at her home near Humboldt, S. D.
Ragnild Holger's datter [sic] was born April 15, 1846 in Sveions Sogn, Norway, and was married to Jorgen Holland. They moved to America with their infant son, Hans O., and lived for a time near McCallsburg where the husband died after a lingering illness.
She then with her son Hans moved into the neighborhood of Randall, where she married Endre S. Hoveland [sic]. They owned a home one mile east of Randall. Lived there for many years but sold out and moved up to near Kanawha when land was cheap. When land brought a good price sold again and move up near Humboldt, S. D.
Three sons were born to her second union: Henry, Ben and Peter Hoveland. Besides her husband and children, she leaves 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Late if the fall she had a paralytic stroke from which she never recovered. She was patient and resigned to the last and no doubt has passed beyond to everlasting bliss where she is meeting those dear ones who have gone before ad is awaiting those who now mourn her loss--relatives as well as a host of friends.
May her life and example be a guide to all who knew her best.
A neighbor.
