OBITUARY.

MRS. S. B. NORDSKOG.

Mrs. S. B. Nordskog, whose sudden death was chronicled in last week's Herald, was born April 18, 1886, in Story City and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sampson Grotness. In the spring of 1905 she was married to S. B. Nordskog, who is engage din the meat market business at McCallsburg. She was a loving and devoted wife, always ready to help her husband in his work, as well as her own. She retained her sweet and loving disposition until the very last and will be greatly missed by her husband, who was so much devoted to her. They fitted up a new home in which thy had lived but a very short time.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Heimarck in their home at 12 o'clock and at Story City in the Immanuel church at 2 o'clock. The church was beautifully decorated and the floral offerings were abundant and beautiful. The music furnished by the choir and the two quartets was very good.

One very touching feature of the funeral service was the reading of a couple of verses of a poem, upon request of the husband. Some time previous Mr. Nordskog had found the poem in a paper and it appealed to him, he clipped it out and saved it, little thinking that he would have occasion to think of it again so soon. As he placed a rosebud upon the breast of his beloved wife, the following verses were read:

"Love!" he cried, "When God shall sever
All the ties that bind me here,
I will meet you in the Valley,
Where the skies are always clear.

"I shall know you by the sweetness
That has been my star of rest;
I shall know you by the rosebud
That you wear upon your breast."
