OBITUARY

MRS. J. B. BROVE.

Elizabeth Green Grove was born in Crawford Co., Indiana, January 2, 1836; died at the home of her son, Joe Grove in Ames, Iowa, March 13, 1911, at 12:40 p. m. of pneumonia.

She was married in Wyoming, Iowa, to Joshua B. Grove, October 22, 1856. They moved immediately to a farm four miles north of Ames, where they lived continuously for 45 years, where a family of ten children were born to them, all living at the present time with the exception of one daughter who died in early childhood.

She was the third of a family of 14 children, 6 of whom survive her. The children at her bedside when death came were Mrs. Alwilda Doolittle, Joe and Lee of Ames; Willard of Ellsworth, Ia.,; Charley and Jake of Crawford, Neb.; Elmer of Caldwell, Kansas; and Mrs. Eva Peacock of Jefferson, Okla.; John the oldest son being unable to be present.

Mrs. Grove had been for over forty years a follower of her Lord and Master Jesus Christ and a worker in his cause and many can bear witness to her Christian devotion to truth.

Funeral services were held in the United Brethren church at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon by Rev. W. I. Fowle. Interment in the Ames cemetery.
