MRS. BODEL MARIE CHRISTIANSON [SIC] DIED SUDDENLY LAST SUNDAY
Mrs. Bodel Marie Christianson [sic] died last Sunday at the home of her son, C. E. Christianson, southwest of town. She had not been very well this spring, but her death came very suddenly and totally unexpected at the time. The funeral services were held Tuesday in the Bethel church, Rev. Paulsrud officiating, and a large number of relatives and friends present to pay their last respects to the deceased.
Mrs. Christianson [sic] was born at Bjelkrop, Sjaelland, Denmark, Aug. 31, 1830, her maiden name being Nelson. She was 81 years, 8 months and 26 days old at the time of her death.
She was married May 16, 1856, and immigrated to America in the spring of 1869, settling near Story City, where she and her husband lived continuously until his death last Sunday. Six children were born to her, two dying in infancy and one, Mrs. Carl Rasmussen, died in Story City several years ago. Those who survive her are: C. E. and P. N. Christianson of this place and Mrs. C. N. Paulson of Lorimor.
