GRANDMOTHER WEGST

Margaret Frances Stroble was born in Berlin, Germany, July 20, 1829 and died February 10, 1913, at 2 p. m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Anna Marshall at Boone. She came to Baltimore, Md., in 1854 where she married Henry Weiderman. To them were born three children, Mrs. Anna Marshall, Mrs. Mary Bonebrake of Gilbert and Catherine Munden of Ames. The last mentioned died October 1910. Mr. Weiderman died in 1860. Later Mrs. Weiderman moved to Pennsylvania where she was married to Christian Wegst and to this union was born John Wegst now of Gilbert.

They moved to Danville, Ill., and thence to Iowa where they resided until death's call came. Mr. Wegst departed this life in May 1909. Mrs. Wegst in early life accepted Christ as her Savior and lived a sincere Christian life to the end.

She leaves to mourn her loss, in addition to those already mentioned, seventeen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. She lived three years, six months and twenty days more than the extreme space allotted to man "by reason of strength." The funeral was by her pastor, Rev. Smay, at Zenorsville, the text Psalm 90:10, and the interment in Gilbert cemetery, Wednesday, Feb. 12, 1913.

Safe in the arms of Jesus,
Life's journey o'er,
Death from earth's thralldom free us
To heaven's shore.
