DIES AT HOME OF DAUGHTER

Mrs. Anna Cherland Seglem, who lived for many years on a farm northeast of Roland, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Gustafson at Marshalltown, on Monday, December 22, following a paralytic stroke. She was 77 years old at the time of her death, and had suffered complications preceding this stroke.

She was born in Uskedahl, Norway, March 30, 1847, and came to this country in 1871. She lived at Clinton for a time and married Peter Seglem at Ames, November 20, 1877. Since then she lived for many years on a farm about nine miles nonrtheast of Roland, but for the past few months had been staying with her daughter at Marshalltown. She was a member of the Bergen Lutheran congregation and the funeral was held from East Begen church on Wednesday afternoon last week.

She is survived by eight children. They are Charles Gustafson and Mrs. B. E. White of Marshalltown, Henry Seglem of Guckeen, Minn., Albert Seglem and Mrs. Oscar Sampson of Radcliffe, Mrs. Joe Stokesberry of Forest City, Mrs. L. J. Torester of Hartford Wis., and Mrs. O. W. Solyst.
