MRS. LELAND DIED LAST WEEK

Roland People Attend Funeral at Ledyard Friday

Friends at this place received the sad news last week that Mrs. Osmund Leland, who lived in this community for a number of years, had passed away at her home near Ledyard on Tuesday last week. Mr. and Mrs. Ole J. Severeide, Henry Birkeland, Sam Eggland and Martin Moe from this place, attended the funeral which was held at Elmore, Minn., last Friday.

Mrs. Osmund Leland was born in Norway on October 10, 1885. She came to this country to make her home in 1909 and in March, 1916, she was married to Osmund Leland. They lived on the Ingebrit Eggland farm southeast of town for several years, until three years ago they moved to Scarvile. Last year they again moved to a farm near Ledyard, where she lived until called by death on Tuesday, November 11. The funeral was held in Elmore, Minn., on Friday afternoon and interment was made in the Elmore cemetery. She is survived by her husband and three small children.
