Obituaries

MRS. CHRIS JUHL

Mrs. Kristina Juhl was born at Stordeen, near Haugesund, December 11, 1844, and died at Story City, Sept. 9th, 1922, at the age of 77 years, 8 months and 9 days.

In 1873 she came from Norway and settled in Clinton, Ia., where she remained three years. In 1879 she came to Story City, where she has lived since.

In 1874 she was married Chris Juhl. To this union five children were born. They are: Mrs. Lena Olson, Story City, Ia.; Mrs. Louise Jacobson, Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. Anna Stadelman, Seattle, Wash.; Nels Juhl, Hankenson, N. D.; and Ben Juhl of Seattle, Wash.

Besides her husband and children she leaves five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Mrs. Juhl was a charter member of Bethel Lutheran church of Story City. She lived a noble Christian life, and was loved by every one who came in contact with her. We feel that we have lost a dear friend, but our loss is her gain.
