OBITUARY

Mrs. Ellen Blue

Mrs. Eliza Ellen Blue passed away at the home of daughter, Mrs. F. A. Fuller, at this place, Thursday evening, August 17. She was born in Keokuk county, Iowa, Jan. 11, 1851, being thus 71 years, 7 months and 6 days old at the time of her death.

She was married to John Blue Dec. 19, 1867. To this union four children were born, namely, Mrs. Mary Stringer of Iowa Falls, Mrs. Addie Fuller of this place; Arthur Blue of Webster City and Mark Blue of Morton, Minn. Besides these children she leaves 19 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, two brothers and six sisters.

In 1877 the Blue family moved to a farm west of Story City; from there they moved to near Jewell, then to Kamrar, and later to Lake City. About two and half years ago Mrs. Blue suffered a stroke of paralysis and since then she has been lovingly cared for at the Fuller home here.

Funeral services were conducted at the Fuller home early Sunday morning, Rev. Andersen officiating. The remains were then taken by hearse to Lake City and tenderly laid to rest beside her husband, who had preceded her to the better land in 1915.
