Funeral Monday for Severt K. Severtson were held Monday at 2 p. m. at the Riis Funeral Home in Slater with the Rev. P. C. Pederson of Story City officiating.

Mrs. Arlin Sheldahl sang "I Know of a Sleep in Jesus Name." She was accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Lowell Accola.

Pallbearers were Orman Overland, Francis Rullestad, Ronald Egeland, Milford Thompson, Robert Thompson and Harold Hanks. Interment was in Lincoln Cemetery, north of Huxley.

Obituary

Severt K. Severtson was born April 8, 1884 on a farm near Huxley. He was a son of Samuel and Carrie Severtson. His father passed away a few days before he was born. Twelve years later his mother was re-united in marriage to Gunder Rullestad.

Severt has been a life-time resident of the Huxley community, with the exception of the 1 1/2 years. At that time he became a resident of Bethany Manor at Story City.

He passed away on Friday, Jan. 27 at the Story City Hospital at the age of 82 years, 10 months.

He is survived by one half-broth, Grant Rullestad of Huxley; two half-sisters, Mrs. Pearl Egelend of Husley; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a half-sister, Mrs. Severina Thompson.
