RITES FOR MISS FAILOR

Services Held From the Baptist Church at Ames--Burial in Ames Cemetery

Funeral services for Miss Margaret Failor, whose sudden and untimely death occurred at Iowa City last week, were held Friday afternoon from the Failor home at Slater at 1:30 and the Baptist church at Ames, of which she was a member, at 2:30.

The services, conducted by the Rev. R. B. Davidson, her pastor, were very impressive throughout. He gave an inspiring address, climaxing it with a beautiful eulogy. Two vocal numbers completed the services. There were many lovely floral tributes. Burial was made in the Ames cemetery.

Margaret was born October 4, 1910, at Newton, Iowa. A few years later she moved with her parents to Gilman. There she began her schooling, graduating as valedictorian in 1927. She was a senior at Iowa State College and treasurer of Omicron Nu, home economics honorary society and an active worker in the First Baptist Church of Ames.

Miss Margaret was forced to discontinue her studies at the school last December, because of a nervous breakdown, and was taken to Iowa City for treatment. She fully recovered and was dismissed from the hospital, but reentered it for the removal of her tonsils before coming home. She never regained consciousness after the operation had been performed.

Miss Failor is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Failor, of Slater, and the following brothers--Carroll J. Failor of Rhodes, Iowa; Dr. Carleton B. Failor of Oostburg, Wis. and Samuel Failor of Ames and one sister, Mrs. Verne E. Schultz of Humboldt, Iowa.
