Bielefeldt Rites Held in Story City
STORY CITY:--Funeral services for Mrs. S. L. Bielefeldt were held last Saturday, Dec. 31, 2 P. M. in Grace Evangelical United Brethren Church, Story City with the pastor, W. D. Winter officiating.
Mrs. Andy Nelson sang three songs "Come Ye Disconsolate," "I Need Thee Every Hour," and "I Walked Today Where Jesus Walked." Mrs. Dorrel Doolittle accompanied her on the organ.
Pallbearers were Marion Bailey, George Christian, Si Christian, James Shaw, Obed Ritland and Francis Boston. Burial was in Roland cemetery.
OBITUARY
Charity Elmira Bielefeldt was born in Scranton, Iowa in Greene county, Jan. 23, 1880 and died Dec. 28, 1955 at Story City Memorial Hospital after suffering a number of strokes.
She was united in marriage to Sanford Bielefeldt November 22, 1900 at Dedham, Iowa. She is survived by her husband and four children: Vere of Roland, Arthur J. of Waterloo, Julia of Des Moines and Cecil W. of Rolfe, Iowa, seven grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Rena Bruce of Evergreen, Colorado, and several nieces and nephews.
The family lived in Carroll county until 1914, then moved to Worth county. In 1920, they moved to Story county living on a farm east of Story City. They retired in 1943 and moved to Story City.
