Services Saturday for Lucy Cole

Mrs. Lucy L. Cole, 91, formerly of 927 Ridgewood Ave., died at Northcrest Retirement Community Sept. 5.

Service are Saturday at 2:30 p.m. from the Adams Funeral Home with the Rev. Henry Hackman of the First United Methodist Church officiating assisted bt Rev. John Anderson of Northcrest. Burial in the Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Mrs. Cole was born July 18, 1883 and moved to Ames area in 1915. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She and Harlan Cole were married Oct. 1, 1902 in Clay. He died Jan. 9, 1953.

Survivors include two sons, Jess N. 934 Brookridge Ave., and Don H. of Walker, Minn.; two sisters, Margaret Williams and Martha Cole, both of Fairfield; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her daughter Lula Cole Steel on Dec 21, 1972.

A memorial fund for the First United Methodist Church has been established. Gifts may be left at the church office.

The body will lie in state until time of service at Adams Funeral Home.
