Letha Genevieve Ruth Taft, 85, of Nevada, died Saturday, Oct. 8, at Story County Hospital in Nevada. Services are pending at Fredregill Funeral Home in Zearing.

Leatha Taft died Saturday, Oct. 8, at Story County Hospital in Nevada. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, at the Bethel United Methodist Church in Zearing. Burial will be in Lincoln Township Cemetery in Zearing.

Leatha was born in Monroe County to Benjamin and Sarah (Courtney) Lundy. She was homemaker and housewife. She was an active member of the Bethel United Methodist Church and the Zearing American Legion Auxiliary, Post No. 116. She married Harold Taft Aug. 20, 1951, in Sioux Falls, S.D.

She is survived by one daughter, Christina Marie Patterson of Nevada; two sisters, Della Cook of Nevada and Anna Mae Fontanna of Louisville, Ky.; one grandson, Robbie Patterson of Boone; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold, two brothers, and three sisters.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 12, at Fredregill Funeral Home in Zearing.

Fredregill Funeral Home in Zearing is in charge of arrangements.
