Services Held for Charles Reinertson

Funeral services for Charles R. Reinertson of Des Moines were held at the Palestine Lutheran Church at Huxley on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 2 p. m. with Pastor Ernest T. Thompson officiating. Organist was Mrs. Noel Larson. She accompanied Elman Sheldahl and Omar Brendeland when they sang "The Old Rugged Cross."

Pallbearers were R. B. Sheldahl, John Sheldahl, Mervin Tesdall, Robert Sheldahl, Clark Applegate and David Applegate. Interment was in Palestine Cemetery.

Obituary

Charles Richard Reinertson was born March 28, 1886 in Story County, Ia., the son of Reinert and Carrie Reinertson. He passed away suddenly Saturday, Oct. 12, 1968 at 1:15 a. m. at his home in Des Moines at the age of 82 years.

He was baptized and confirmed at the Palestine Lutheran Church where he had continued as a life time member.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Anna, three brothers and one sister.

Surviving him are two daughters, Mrs. Stanley (Charlotte) Lundy of Inglewood, Calif. and Ola Hennick with whom he made his home in Des Moines, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Andrew (Clara) Sheldahl of Slater and one brother, Arthur Reinertson of Atlantic Beach, Fla.
