“REV. RALPH QUAKENBUSH PASSES AWAY. – Rev. Ralph Quakenbush, 59, pastor of the Indian Creek Church of the Brethren for several years, passed away at 2:15 Sunday afternoon, at the University of Iowa Hospital, following an operation which he had undergone on Ja. 5. He is survived by his wife and four sons, John, of San Francisco, Calif.; Herbert, of Kelley Field, Texas; Galen, of Wichita, Kansas, and Ralph of Los Angeles, Calif. He also leaves one brother, besides a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be held in the Maxwell Presbyterian Church on Thursday morning at 11 a.m. with the Reverends Ickenberry and Fleshman in charge, after which the body will be taken to Emporia, Kansas, for further services and burial.”
