SLATER

Funeral services of Mrs. C. O. Neslund who passed away at a hospital in Chicago, Wednesday, Nov. 10, were held from the Bethlehem church Sunday afternoon by Rev. H. Bjorlie, assisted by Rev. Duea. Caroline Brown, the daughter of Martin Brown was born near Slater, March 30, 1890. Her mother died when she was but 6 years old. In the year 1900 she was united in marriage to Clarence Neslund and continued to make Slater her home until a few weeks ago when they left for Willmar, Minn., to make their home. One daughter, Lois, was born to this union and is left with the father to mourn the loss of a dear wife and mother. She also leaves to mourn her loss a father and step mother, four sisters, Mrs. Jesse Gord of Ames, Mrs. H. Granseth, Marie and Eloise and 5 brothers, John, Milford, Osmund, Edward and Arthur, besides a host of relatives and friends. Remains were laid to rest in local cemetery beside those of her mother.
