Services Saturday For Mrs. Bengston [sic]

Funeral services for Mrs. Leonard Bengston [sic] were held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon from the Sundberg Funeral home in Madrid.

Preceding the services, Mr. and Mrs. DeWayne Tweedt sand "Jesus Lover of My Soul." The accompanist was Mrs. Edward Gilbert.

For his message Rev. Oberg of Boone stressed the 46th Psalm, one of the favorites of Mrs. Bengston, which she had often read and meditated upon with the help of her former pastor, Rev. Carl Okerbloom. Rev. Oberg mentioned that the psalm, which begins and ends with the thought that God is a refuge, had long been a source of strength to all who were truly familiar with it.

Following the service, Mr. and Mrs. DeWayne Tweedt sang "My Faith Look Up to Thee."

The floral tributes were many, and also a number of gifts of money for missions and other benevolences were received in memory of Mrs. Bengston. The flowers were arranged by Mrs. Art Check, Mrs. Roy F. Johnson and Mrs. Ralph Anderson.

Pallbearers, all neighbors and friends of the family, were Art Check, Roy F. Johnson, John Erickson, L. J. Miller, Anthony Edwards and Carl Samuelson. Burial was in Hillsdale cemetery.
