Paul R Sydnes 1862-1892

Slater News, Friday January 22, 1892

Died: At the home of his parents in Huxley on the morning of Tuesday, Jan. 19, 1892 after a lingering illness, Paul Sydnes. The deceased was born south of Huxley, Feb. 5 1862, and would have been 30 years old on his next birthday. His health had been poor for some time, being afflicted with throat troubles. He was a very quiet young man, and his life was a peaceful and worthy one. The funeral services will be conducted by Rev. O. P. Svingen today, the interment to take place at the cemetery north of Huxley.
Notes: Paul was the son of Reinert and Bertha Sydnes. He was born in Illinois where his baptism was recorded at the West Lisbon Lutheran Church. His last surviving niece, Virginia Sydnes Lee, says she was told he had tuberculosis.
