Funeral Services for Andrew Wee, Huxley

Funeral services for Andrew Wee were held at the Palestine Lutheran Church, Huxley, on Friday, Jan. 10 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Arnold F. Hansen officiating.

Mrs. Osmond Larson and Omar Brendeland sang two numbers, "Have Thine Own Way, Lord" and "The LIghts of Home." They were accompanied by Mrs. Noel Larson on the organ.

Pallbearers were nephews of the deceased: Keith Wee, LeRoy Wee, Hubert Johnson, Orland Fjelland, Carroll Sydnes and Lowell Wee.

Interment was in the Palestine Cemetery.

Obituary

Andrew Wee was born in Story County, Ia. on Nov. 28, 1889. His parents were Lars and Carfrie Wee.

On Nov. 29, 1916 he was united in marriage to Matilda Sydnes of Huxley at the Palestine Lutheran Church by Pastor Buland.

Mr. Wee farmed until 1957 when he retired and moved to Huxley.

He was a faithful member of the Palestine Lutheran Church all of his life.

Mr. Wee, who had been in failing health for some time, died at his home on Tuesday morning, Jan. 7, having reached the age of 74 years.

He is survived by his wife, Matilda; five brothers, Harry, Chris, Eli, Newtie and Miller, all of Huxley; four sisters, Mrs. Ole Johnson and Mrs. Tilmer Sydnes of Huxley, Mrs. Nels Richardson of Ames and Mrs. Murlie Lowman of Fullerton, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Bennie; a sister, Mrs. Alma Fjelland, and another sister who died in infancy.
