THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, September 15, 2005.
Ivadell Walton, 81, of Ames, died Sept. 13, at home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Ames with the Rev. Chris Olkiewicz presiding. Burial will be in Hauser Cemetery in Whitten. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, at Adams Funeral Home.
Ivadell Walton was born Nov. 15, 1923, in Fenton, to George and Viola (Gremmels) Bolte. She was a graduate of Fenton High School and Hamilton Business College in Mason City. She worked at North American Plant Breeders. She was a member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church, Widowed Men and Women's Club and the secretary and treasurer of Napier Well.
She married Charles E. Walton Nov. 24, 1946, at Little Brown Church in Nashua.
She is survived by three sons, Dennis (Vivian Parrott) Walton of Story City, Duane "Dewey" (Marlene) Walton of Napier and Devon (Deborah Zajic) Walton of Andover, Minn.; one daughter, Diane (Richard) Trampel of Klemme; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; one brother, Delong Bolte; and sister and brother-in-law George and Viola Bolte Hiatt.
