Funeral services were held from the late St. Luke church Monday afternoon over the remains of late Miss Anna Johnson, more familiarly known as Anna Gravdahl. Rev. Holman conducted the services after which the remains were laid to rest in the Palestine cemetery. Miss Gravdahl passed away last Friday at the Polk county farm where she, with her sister, Malinda, were removed a year ago from Sheldahl where they had been making their regular home. Her fatal illness dated back only a short time, she being the victim of pneumonia.
Deceased was born at Gravdahl, Norway, in the spring of 1833 and would have reached an age of 77 years in April had she lived that long. With her sister, she has been a familiar person this vicinity for many years. Till a year ago they resided at Sheldahl when it became necessary to remove them to the county farm that they might get the proper care. Before passing away she spoke highly of the treatment and care she had received at the farm. Aside from some distant relatives she is survived by the one sister, Miss Malinda.
