Death of Carrie Moritz.

Miss Carrie Moritz died at her home on Oak street last evening at a little after six o'clock, after an illness extending over a considerable period of time. She was suffering from consumption and during the past few months had been growing gradually worse. The deceased was well known in this city where she had lived for a number of years, having for the most part of the time been engaged with her sister, Miss Mary, in conducting a boarding house. The funeral services will be conducted at the house tomorrow morning at ten o'clock by Rev. J. O. Simon of Memorial Lutheran church after which the remains will be interred in the Nevada cemetery.

Caroline Elizabeth Moritz was born in De Kalb county, Ill., January 4, 1868, and died in Nevada May 2, 1907. Afterwards she removed with her parents to the old homestead in Story county near Colo. There she lived until she came to Nevada where she has made her home since. For the past several years she and her sister Mary have lived together. She was baptized and confirmed in the German Lutheran church at State Center March 29, 1883, and was till a member of the same church. She was one of a family of a dozen children who are now widely distributed over the country. Some of them live in Nebraska and a number of them, with the parents, live up in Alberta, Canada.

The deceased was woman quite well known in the city and highly respected by all who were acquainted with her. The surviving relatives receive the sympathy of all.
