TRI COUNTY TIMES, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, September 1, 2005.

Paul T. Etter, 90, of Maxwell, died at his home on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2005. Funeral services were held Sunday, Aug. 28 at Caldwell-Raddatz Funeral Chapel in Urbandale. Internment was at Farrar Cemetery.

He was born Dec. 17, 1914 to Herman and Ella (Paulson) Etter in Ionia. He was a Des Moines city bus driver, then supervisor for the Metropolitan Transit Authority for 38 years until his retirement. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the US Navy. He was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Des Moines. He had lived in Maxwell the past 17 years. He was known as an avid gardener and a hard worker all his life.

He is survived by his son Terry Etter, of Des Moines; his daughter, Paula Long, of Maxwell; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda, in 2000.
