Death Today Of Mrs. Grant Ulum

Mrs. Grant Ulum, 86, former resident of Nevada, died early this morning at 2:15 at the Mary Greeley hospital in Ames of a stroke. She had been ill four years.

Since 1947 she had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. (Alice) Roy Griffith, 1424 Kellogg avenue, Ames.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p. m., at the Adams Funeral Home in Ames, with the Rev. Robert Fennell officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada cemetery by the side of her husband, who died May 2, 1918.

Surviving are two sons, Clarence E. of Swaledale and Loren B. of Dearborn, Mich., and two daughters, Mrs. Alice Griffith of Ames and Mrs. Zella Green of Champaign, Ill., ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Mrs. Ulum was born in Solon, Ia., Oct. 28, 1867 and was married there on Feb. 8, 1893 to Grant Ulum.

One daughter, Irene Ulum Kennedy preceded her death in 1947.
