Mrs. John Trites and son Frank were called to Des Moines, Thursday by the fatal illness of her granddaughter. The little one passed away soon after their arrival there, Alice Bernice Trites, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Trites, was born in Des Moines December 13th, 1912, and died February 14th, 1918, age five years, two months and one day. Alice had spent much of her life in Colo. Her parents lived here for a while, and after they moved back to Des Moines, she visited her grandmother quite often. She was a bright, attractive child, and many heart are saddened by her untimely death. She leaves to mourn her loss, her parents and one little brother, besides numerous other relatives and many friends.

The little form was brought to Colo Saturday afternoon and tenderly laid to rest in the Colo cemetery. Funeral services were held at the grave, conducted by the Rev. J. N. McCurdy. Relatives and friends from a distance who accompanied the body to its last resting place were the parents Mr. and Mrs. Fred Trites, Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Royalty, Mrs. Edna Day, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Trites of Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Conrad of Grand Junction, and Mrs. Fred Schultz and children of Boone. Sincere sympathy is extended to the bereaved ones.
