Last Rite Friday For Mrs. Christian

Mrs. La Wanda Christian, 30, died Tuesday, Nov. 13 in the St. Joseph Hospital in Joliet, Ill., following a car accident.

She was born on Jan. 25, 1932 in Ames and attended school at Ames. She later moved to Plainfield, Ill. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Plainfield and was also a member of Marine Post No. 3 Auxiliary and an active Girl Scout leader.

Services for Mrs. Christian will be Friday, Nov. 16 at 3:00 p. m. at the Adams Funeral Home in Ames. Rev. Milton Dowden of the Campus First Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Story County Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Christian is survived by her husband Jerry, one son, Randy and two daughters, Linda and Karla, all of Plainfield, Ill. She is also survived by her mother, Mrs. Mabel Lillard, Ames; one brother, LaVerne, Collins; and three sisters, Mrs. Colleen Larson, West Hartford, Conn., Mrs. Wilma McCurdy, St. Paul, Minn. and Mrs. Norma Eggers, Ames. She was preceded in death by her father.
