Jonas Duea Rites Held in So. Dak.
Jonas Duea, born in Roland September 18, 1885, died August 30 in a hospital at Dell Rapids, So. Dak. He was the son of the late Malinda and Joseph Duea.
He was associated with the late S. J. Michaelson in a general store in Roland and moved to Dell Rapids, So. Dak. in 1915 where he farmed and was active in soil conservation and associated with the Pioneer Seed Corn Company for 25 years.
He is survived by his wife, (Alma Thompson); a daughter, Mrs. Don (Maxine) Eisenbach of Bremerton, Wash. and two grandchildren. Also surviving are seven sisters and five brothers: Anna Mae Duea, Sunset Home, Story City; Homer, Spencer; Mrs. Bert Britson and Victor of Roland; Virgil and Ben, Mrs. Russ Eaker and Mrs. E. J. Stout all of San Diego, Calif.; Mrs. L. O. Harris, Marshalltown; Mrs. L. T. Lewison, New Hampton; Joe R., Dunkerton and Mrs. Mabel Tallman of Iowa City.
Funeral services were held September 3 at the Dell Rapids, So. Dak. Lutheran Church with interment in the Stordahl Cemetery at Dell Rapids.
