Helen Martin Dies At Home in Nevada At the Age of 69

Mrs. Helen F. Martin, 69, of 1737 7th St., Nevada, died unexpectedly early Saturday morning at her home.

Born December 10, 1894 in Nebraska, Mrs. Martin had lived in Ames for 45 years and had moved to Nevada last September. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1962.

Survivors include two sons, William C. Martin Jr. of Nevada and Richard H. Martin of Marshalltown; two daughters, Mrs. Mary A. Logsdon of Guthrie Center and Mrs. Dorothy Jean Ray of Nevada. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Carl Gesser of Ames, Mrs. Waldo Thompson of Council Bluffs and Mrs. Russell Richardson of Dayton, Ohio and eight grandchildren.

Services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p. m. at the Adams Funeral Home in Ames with Rev. John Davies of the Collegiate Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Story Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
