Former Resident of Roland Dies Tues. In Ames Hospital
Mrs. Stella Fredricksen [should be Frederickson], 71, of Ames, former Roland resident died Tuesday morning at the Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames.
She was born in Roland Nov. 6, 1890 to Odne and Carrie Howen. She was married to Sam Fredricksen [should be Frederickson] and they made their home in Roland until 1941 when they moved to Ames.
Mrs. Fredricksen was superintendent of the Sunday School of the Salem Lutheran Church for 15 years.
Mrs. Fredericksen was preceded in death by her husband, Sam H. in August of 1943, her parents and a sister, Mrs. Mamie Smith.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Homer (Connie) Danielson of Ellsworth; three grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Lars Larson of Roland, Mrs. Lyle Brown of Wautun, Wis. and Mrs. Esther Lee of Ames; also a brother, Wilbur Howen of Jewell.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p. m. at the Bethesda Lutheran Church in Ames. Burial will be in the Roland cemetery.
