J. F. Kalsem Funeral Services Held At Huxley
Funeral services for J. F. Kalsem were held at the Fjeldberg Lutheran Church in Huxley, Saturday, April 7, 1962 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. M. Harold rye officiating.
Mrs. Orland Fjelland provided music for the services and accompanied Mrs. Selmer Westvold who sang "In Heavenly Love Abiding" and "I Know of a Sleep in Jesus Name."
Casket bearers were all nephews of the deceased, John Olson, Val Racek, Orville Kalsem, Sophes Berhow, Jesse Nelson and Clifford Seuferer. Interment was at the Fjeldberg Cemetery at Huxley.
He was united in marriage with Ragnhild Froland [nee Helgevold] in 1919. She preceded him in death in 1924. To this union was born a son, Marion of Des Moines. In 1931 he was united in marriage with Hattie Hill. To this union were born three sons, Homer, Ralph, and Jay, all of Huxley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers and sisters and a grandson.
Those surviving are his wife, Hattie, four sons, four granddaughters and a hold of relatives and friends.
