Mrs. J. T. Foley Dies Wednesday In Story Co. Hospital

Mrs. J. T. (Mary) Foley, 123 J Avenue, died Wednesday at 5 a. m. in the Story County Hospital where she had been a patient for three weeks following a stroke.

Mrs. Foley was born October 29, 1877 at Davenport to Henry and Bridget Wheelock. She was married to Thomas J. Foley on Nov. 21, 1900 in the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Colo. She lived almost her entire life in this county.

There survives four sons: Michael J. of Colo; Hugh F. of Ames; Thomas, of Denver, Colo. and John S. of Clinton.

There are three daughters: Mrs. Arnold (Mary) Schuler, Colo.; Mrs. Edna Heintz and Miss Helen Foley, both of Nevada.

Three brothers also survive: Henry Wheelock, Anamosa; John T. Wheelock, Ames and Bernard A. Wheelock of Zearing.

There are 21 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Her parents, her husband and four brothers and four sisters preceded her in death, and one son, William H. Foley, who was killed in Okinawa, April 27, 1945.

Funeral services will be held from St. Patrick's Catholic Saturday at 10 a. m. with Rev. J. J. Brickley officiating. Interment will be in St. James cemetery.

The Rosary will be recited Thursday and Friday evenings at 8 p. m. at the Ryan Funeral Home.
