MRS. DUNAHOO WILL BE BURIED SUNDAY

FORMER IOWA CENTER WOMAN PASSED AWAY HERE THURSDAY

Mrs. Maggie Dunahoo, 79, pioneer woman of the Iowa Center neighborhood, died Thursday at 11:30 a.m., at the home of her foster daughter, Mrs. Frank Bobo, 927 J. Avenue, this city.

The body will be at the Bobo home Saturday afternoon from 2:00 to 5:00 where friends may view it.

The funeral will be held at the church in Iowa Center Sunday afternoon at 2:30, by Rev. Hugh Yost of Memorial Lutheran church of Nevada, after which interment will be in the Iowa Center cemetery, by the side of the husband who died about 22 years ago, and the son Claude, who died 36 years ago.

Mrs. Dunahoo was a native of Ireland, where she was born October 21, 1849, her maiden name being Maggie Murray. She came to America with her parents when but a child and they later came to Story county, where she became the bride of Madison Dunahoo.

Three sons were born to them. The were Charles Dunahoo of Albert Lea, Minn., Corey Dunahoo of Wells, Minn., and the son Claude who died when but a small boy. Mrs. Frank Bobo was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Dunahoo and raised to young womanhood.

She had made her home at Wells, Minn., with the son Corey the most of the time for the past seventeen years but had been here and a guest at the Bobo home for the past three months, during which time the failure in her health was noticed.

Heart trouble was the cause of death.

Mrs. Dunahoo was a woman well known in the Iowa Center neighborhood during the many years that she lived there and reared her family, had many warm friends who admired her for the many sterling qualities, so often found in those early day pioneers and her passing will be sincerely mourned.
