THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, August 11, 2005.

Ferne C. Smid, 81, of Chester, died Tuesday, Aug. 9, at Evens Memorial home in Cresco. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at Chester United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Jewell with a graveside service at 3 p.m.
