STORY COUNTY WOMAN DEAD
Mrs. Seglem Passed Away at Home of Daughter.

Roland, Dec. 24--The body of Anna Tjerland-Seglem, 77, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Gustafson, in Marshalltown Monday night, will be laid to rest this afternoon in the cemetery near the Lutheran church, in Hardin northeast of this city. Death followed a stroke of paralysis. She had been in poor health and suffered painful complications preceding the stroke which took her life.She was born at Uskadahl, Norway, March 30, 1847, and came to this country in 1871. She lived at Clinton for a time and married Peter Seglem at Ames November 20, 1877.
She is survived by eight children. They are Mrs. Charles Gustafson and Mrs. B. E. White of Marshalltown; Henry Seglem, Guckeen, Minn.; Albert Seglem, and Mrs. Oscar Sampson of Radcliffe; Mrs. Joe Stokesbary, Forest City; Mrs. L. J. Troester, Harford, Wis.; and Mrs. O. W. Solyst. She was a member of the Bergen church at Roland.
