Aged Man Died at Old People's Home

Special to the Journal.
Story City, June 30--When Jens Hustoft, 91, died at the Old Peoples Home here June 18, one of the oldest member of that institution passed away. Funeral services were held from Bethel church June 21, after which interment was in the Story City cemetery. He leaves one daughter, Mrs. J. K. Sandsgaard.

Jens Hustoft, son of Jens and Gjertru Amunson*, was born in 1833 at Nerstrand, Norway and died at the Old Peoples Home here June 18, 1924. He was married in 1858 to Ellen Johana Jensdatter Bustad. Mrs. Hustoft died in 1863 and Mr. Hustoft and two daughters came to this country in 1872. He married to Serena Bustad in 1878. After the death of his second wife he made his home at the Old Peoples Home where he died of a stroke June 18.
