Funeral Services Held Today for State Center Woman
State Center, July 8--Funeral services are being held here this afternoon for Mrs. Jane McCormick, 92, who died early Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Dobbin following a stroke of paralysis which she suffered June 28.
Mrs. McCormick was born Jane Theophilus at Aberstywth, Wales, May 4, 1845 and came to the United States with her parents when she was seven years old. They settled in Pennsylvania and when a young girl she was married to R. C. McCormick, a grain merchant of Pittsburgh. Later they lived in Illinois, Missouri and Oklahoma. Mr. McCormick die about 27 years ago and Mrs. McCormick had lived with her daughter here for some years.
She was the mother of four children. A son, Ralph died as a young man and surviving are three daughters, Mrs. George Jones and Mrs. W. Weidlein, both of Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Dobbin. Seven grandchildren and also three great grandchildren also survive.
