William Wooley Died Last Evening at His Home Here

William N. Wooley, 67, for over fifty years a resident of this community, died at his home corner Fifth and H avenue, Friday evening at 9:30, after a lingering illness, during which time he has been a sufferer from a cancer and other troubles.

The body is now at the Bishop Funeral home, awaiting funeral services Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 at Memorial Lutheran church of which he was a member.

There will be a prayer service at the home at 2:15 previous to going to the church.

William Nickelson Wooley, son of Henry and Etta Wooley, was born May 2, 1870 at Williamson, Illinois.

He was 14 years of age when the family came to Iowa and located on a farm northwest of Nevada where he grew to manhood.

It was on October 25, 1905 that he was united in marriage to Miss Carrie Peterson, at St. John's Lutheran church, Des ones. they established their home in Nevada and here it has been since.

The following Easter he was baptized in Memorial Lutheran church and has been a faithful member of that church since.

He leaves in his immediate family his devoted wife and a son Henry Wooley, together with the latter's wife and two children, Henry Jr., 7, and William, 3.

Mr. Wooley will be missed by his many friends as well as his family, where he was a devoted husband and father.
